In 1985 my mother gave me my first camera, a Pentax 110. It stills works 35 years later! Before switching completely to digital in 2010, I shot over 400,000 frames on film. Many of the projects in this section are film based and grow as I scan more film into my digital database each year. The See More link for each project will take you to the corresponding gallery on my 500px page where I discuss and share projects with other photographers.

Vienna on Film

This set of photos was shot between 1998 and 2007. All photos were shot on Ilford Delta 400 film. A film with excellent contrast and beautiful grain structure that matches perfectly with the typical overcast weather and timeless ornate architecture.

Bratislava on Film

This set of photos was shot between 1999 and 2006. All photos were shot on Ilford Delta 400 film. Beautiful architecture, unique public art displays, and well managed tourism make Bratislava a street photographer’s paradise. In a couple days you can walk the whole city multiple times circling back to each location for the right moment and light.

The South

Growing up in the south led me to photograph many rural scenes. As I grew older, began to travel extensively, and eventually moved out of the south I found that I would jump at any chance to return and find new subjects in the area where my passion for photography began.
